\ Whether you are a new patient or a friend for many years, we are honored that you have chosen us to provide care for your eyes. We pledge to make every effort and exhaust any resource to give you the best total eye care available.
Fees & Insurance
If you have questions about our fees or insurances, please ask our receptionist or our phone schedulers. They will be able to answer most questions concerning fees and insurances; however, there may be additional fees for procedures that cannot be determined until after you see the doctor. Also, the receptionist may not be able to answer all questions about insurance coverage. You may have to contact your insurance company personally. We accept Medicare insurance assignment, and our physicians are on the panels of most local HMOs (health maintenance organizations) and PPOs (preferred provider organizations). Some HMO patients must obtain a referral from their primary care provider before they can be seen by specialists, including ophthalmologists (EyeMD).
While we are happy to file claim forms to insurance companies, we do expect to receive co-payments, deductibles and payment for noncovered services at the time you are seen. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards. Insurance coverage can vary from plan to plan; we request that you make arrangements to settle your account if your insurance company has not done so within two months of your visit. We offer payment plans for certain procedures; these can be established through our accounting department.
